The Sickle Dances Empty The Sickle Dances

Comming from various missions from Tyburn Graves the group were shoved together and crammed in a spacecraft...

After getting through the hells that is the red cages, the group is sent on a simple purge mission in the outer regions, to be redirected to sinophia. This backwater world is covered by murders.
After dealing with the murders the PC's are abandoned on Mara, a forsaken world.
Having transferred to Dusk via the Warp the characters head to the next mission.
Clearing the Joyous Choir of they're somewhat heretical founder, has not stopped their impassioned advance

This will be running 12AM to 4PM Saturday in B40.

- Arrived at Cathedral.
- Helped priests repair various things.
- Looked for banker, who apparently ran a stall in the market with no wares, yet was constantly thriving with business.
- Rumour: Part of the cathedral roof collapsed and killed somebody, priests covered it up.
- Investigated rumour, no evidence to support it.
- Found widow of body in first barge, brought remains to cathedral for burial.
- Priests encouraged "The no pants dance" between the two psykers.
- Members of party were found to be carrying a virus in their blood, treated all members who tested positively.
- While entertaining themselves, certain members of the party damaged parts of a pew in the cathedral. The offending parties were rendered unconscious by the Sister of Battle.

That's all I can remember.

Niko's Session Summary - 17/02/2012

  • The party was bombarded by a military aircraft/spacecraft. The craft attacked an unseen target nearby, then departed.
  • Psyniscience revealed that the warp was prevalent on the attacking craft.
  • Rumour: District 13 was being demolished.
  • Every party member received a vox comm directing them to District 7.
  • The party went to D7. Constantine had also been summoned to D7.
  • A platoon of 25 guardsmen arrived in 5 Rhino APCs and opened fire on Constantine.
  • Constantine was rescued by the Sister of Battle. The guardsmen did not respond to commands and opened fire on the party. They were also brimming with warp.
  • The Sister of Battle engaged the guardsmen in CQC, the Arbitrator and the two Psykers attacked from the shelter of a nearby building.
  • Chewie 'n' Church (Liam and I) commandeered one of the Rhinos.
  • The warp guardsmen were defeated.
  • Exeunt Cailean.
  • Party went to the Arbitrator Tower(?).
  • Sister of Battle and Psykers stealthily entered via an upstairs window, Chewie 'n' Church stayed in the Rhino outside as backup.
  • Tower party engaged in an illusion of a Demon.
  • Tower party encountered the Marshall, who had lost his mind due to extensive exposure to Demons. SoB "disposed" of him.
  • Tower party discovered Demonic Mirror, broken by the SoB, but not completely shattered.
  • Devine intervention - everyone gained a fate point.
  • Inquisitorial Kill team ambushed Chewie 'n' Church. Church escaped the Rhino, only to be incapacitated by hostiles.
  • Chewie drove the Rhino through the tower, demolishing it and removing hostiles from the roof of the vehicle.
  • Chewie 'n' Church rescued by Tower party.
  • Exeunt Niko & Lynne


Lots of details will be omitted, some will be incorrect, and someone else will have to write up what happened after I left, but this should cover the majority of what happened.

Not sure what most of that gear is, but I'm sure there'll be something there that would be better served in the hands of the Inquisition, namely the resident marksman. Tempted to explore some bolt weaponry, but I'm moving into the Scout > Marksman > Sniper career path, so I'd be looking for something a little more... subtle.

Also, what was the fate of The Penetrator?

Greetings,

On a more mission related note the Psyker of the inquisitorial group managed the escape, mainly because I could not see him. I believe only Michael could.

As far as the city itself and our mission is concerned, the city is still recovering. Not sure if bad things are continuing to happen but the bad environmental effects forcing us to stay on planet appear to have dissipated.

The Angelus Pattern Boltcarbine, Cameoline Cloak and Syn Skin could all be employed well in a covert/sniper roll, mainly because that was what they were used for before. I was shot at several times by their own sniper.

Michael - there's only one pair of goggles, but my omni-scope should suffice instead, should you want to keep the goggles for seeing ALL THE THINGS and to not stand out in crowds/piss off Peter/look badass.

Micheal-just be clear you are better off with the goggles-just incase you run into others that may take offense to your mutation, or some other you can't see my eyes method

friday slot will be downtime for liam/nic/mark/caliean and if nothings running the second slot will be the opt in mission

you all get individual sommons...(inquisitor Varlaka i think)

As far as the situation with Ralf (Michael's Character) goes I am obligated to obey the rules of the Imperial Creed. I already know that he is a mutant, if he flaunts his mutation and does not repent towards the emperor I must kill him. Furthermore, if he acquires another mutation I will make my hatred test and if I pass I do not kill him but I must seek redemption myself, (See sister Oblatia). If on the other hand I fail I must kill him. Or he must kill me.

A fundamentalist Sister of Battle and a psyker who is quite radical cannot co-exist in the same group.

For everyones reference, this week is the opt in mission, if you are not wanting to join this mission i will find something a little bit less life threating for you to do, Mark's time will be getting used to whatever new autmentics he gains for example, there is a no-fate-burning death avalible in this mission if you lack a good plan...And no i don't care that half of you have 4+ fate.

everyone but marks gets a letter from your inquisitor asking you to put forward money for your techpriest to be 'fixed up' which directs you all to the tech palace in the another hive city on Scintilla.

the session will start at 13:00ish, end at 21:00ish, and have a break while i go to a pirate committee meeting(hour or two) in which i expect people to head out for food etc...

thats quite intresting way of doing it. covers most everything...

erm next week is the start of the next mission

One major difference: you get an aquisition(though not the SoB) one item up to rare, and a possiblity of a very rare or higher as well, think about what you want and we'll deal with it in session, this is just to try and speed up that process...

Liam are you cool with using your rare/very rare slot to get a tank?
Caliean you get one up to rare aqisition, which does need to be cleared with me
The jar with the head of the widower is presented to you as the only thing that can guide you in the persuit of eurasmus harrlock... i don't Care who takes it but i feel that dissision should be made regardless, for if you perchance, fall off a cliff...
You get 8 Maccabian Janissaries, with two experiances NCO's(Childres and Makrade).
On the ship is a sizeable crew that will talk to you, with respect and mild horror...
Also can i know who got the very rare last time, you've a chance at another one

Everyone can add if they don't already posses:
  • hooded envioremental bodyglove with hexagramic wards
  • Respirator
  • 20 rounds of holy ammo for a weapon of choice, if you lack a sp weapon, a bestquality Stub revolver is provided(or if that is your chosen gun you can swap out)
  • one personal very rare item, that needs to be cleared with me

On another note mechanically you're halfway to the goal to which you're headed, but you'll probably take longer to get there then just next session, many non-mechanical things to do, also warp...

Yes tank but who in the tank can actually operate it in the fight we're about to have? I do believe everyone but Chewy and I are unable to fight in the encounter? And Chewy is currently invisible to us.

Previously, on Dark Heresy…

The party found themselves face-to-face with two vile daemons, with half the players busy wetting their pants in fear. Outside “The Violator”, the Sister Famulous and the bait brave soldiers – fought bravely against their horrific foes. After a struggle, much deliberation and some amount of tank, one of the creatures succumbed to the party’s might, while the other engaged the Sister in a climactic duel of tonsil-tennis.

Ralf continued to derp.

Fortunately, at that very moment, the brains of our heroic duo came to his senses, to show the rest how it’s done. Also, some other guys woke up or got psychic powers back, or something.

Gallantly seizing control of the mighty machine’s weaponry, Church (assisted by some other people) taught the demonic enemy a thing or two about shock and awe. At this very moment, one of the red-shirts Janiseries stepped forward, changed by this dramatic confrontation. A new hero is born, and his name is Gaius (played by Scott MacIver).

With the immediate threat quashed ‘neath their booted heels, our intrepid heroes solved the brain-twisting mystery of the weird messed up floor, saving the damsel in distress from a future of eternally floating in this puzzling chamber. And some guardsmen helped. Proving themselves capable of both brains and brawn, Church ‘n’ Chewie bravely pressed on.

While navigating the tunnels, our party found itself separated, with the fragile and delicate half distanced from the charismatic, handsome half – blocked by a mysterious barrier. Using their wits, their tank, and their back-alley degree in dentistry, Church ‘n’ Chewie removed the barrier – discovered to be teeth, and thundered forward to once again rescue the helpless Sister.

After “The Violator” lived up to its name, our dashing champions of virtue came crashing down on near the rest of the party, bravely saving them from very imminent, near-danger.

Refer to the Sister Famulous as a 'damsel in distress' at your own peril.

Also the biggest threat to the Sister last session was the rest of the party.

Just a quick note to let you know that I am respectfully leaving the game permanently. Thanks to Julie for GMing this long, and best of luck to the rest of the party. I'm happy to donate my character sheets, should you want to run Church as an NPC to the end of the encounter/indefinitely.

Right, I plan to continue running this, as of next Thursday(25th) though would like to know if this suits, if too many can't then I'll have to find another time, however during uni hours times are unavailable due to timetable clashes
